Fahmi El-Shami
Executive Director, Professional Coach
Coach Fahmi played professional soccer for nine years and
was one of the top ten leading scorers in the NPSL.His
team won three national championships. Fahmi has over 19
years of coaching experience and holds a National USSF
Coaching License. He started Stars Soccer Club in 1999
with his wife, Stacy El-Shami, after both enjoyed several
successful coaching seasons at Tophat Soccer Club in
Atlanta.
Coach Fahmi coaches the Stars U11 Academy Orange Boys.

El-Shami
Professional Coach
Coach Kamal
played professional soccer for four years in North
Africa. He has over 13 years of coaching experience
of Premier and Classic teams.
Coach Kamal coaches U14
Classic 2 Orange Boys, U13 Athena A Diamond Girls,
and U10 Academy Silver Girls.

Salah
Frefer
Professional Coach
Coach Salah holds an “A” license from the USSF and a
Youth Coaching Diploma from the NSCAA. With over 20 years
of experience dedicated to youth soccer, Coach Frefer gas
guided his teams to winning 8 State Cup Championships and
2nd, 3rd, and 4th place finished in Region III. Coach
Salah has developed several youth players to achieve the
highest level of play possible - making the ODP (Olympic
Development Program); Region III and the US Youth Nation
Teams. Many of his former players have attended college
on soccer scholarships.

Anthony
Tokpah
Professional Coach,
Specialized Goalkeeper Trainer
Former starting goalkeeper with the Atlanta Silverbacks,
Atlanta’s men’s professional team. Coach Anthony played
professional soccer for four years in Croatia, a season
with the Hershey, Pennsylvania Wildcats and has 28
international caps as a goalkeeper with the Liberian
National Team.
All Stars' goalkeepers have the opportunity
to train with Coach Anthony throughout the season and he
is in charge of U19 Classic 3 Navy Boys.

Phoday
Dolleh (FD)
Professional Coach
Coach “FD” has over five years experience coaching Premier
and Athena teams. He played professional soccer with the
Hafia, F.C. and was three time African Club Champion. He
was captain of the Liberian team while playing U16 and
U17.
Coach FD has the U10 Academy Elite Boys, U13 Classic 1
Orange Boys, and U19 Classic 2 Orange Boys.

Adel
El-Shami
Professional Coach
Coach Adel played professional soccer in North Africa and
holds a National coaching license from the USSF. He has
over 16 years of youth coaching experience with Athena and
Classic teams. Coach Adel trained Varsity soccer teams at
Milton and Centennial High Schools and is a member of the
USSF Coaches Association.
Coach Adel is responsible for
Stars U10 Academy Gold Girls.

Jacenir Silva
Professional Coach
An exciting new addition to
the Stars Coaching Staff is Jacenir Silva from Brazil.
Jacenir played professionally in Brazil, as well as in
the USA. He was a coach for the Atlanta Ruckus, now
known as the Silverbacks. He has been coaching youth in
America for over 10 years. Most recently Jacenir has
been coaching at Cherokee Impact. He has tremendous
energy and experience for the game of soccer and is a
welcome addition to our program.

Florence
Omagbemi Onuja
Professional Coach; currently plays for the Hampton
Road Piranhas
Coach Florence joined Stars from the Womens’
Nigerian National Team where she played in four World
Cups. Florence also represented her home country in the
2000 Olympic Games in Australia. She has played
professionally in the USA for the Boston Breakers and
the San Diego Spirit.
Coach Florence is the coach for Stars U11
Academy Gold Girls, All U12
Girls and Youth Development.

Mercy
Akide Udoh
Professional Coach; currently plays for the Hampton
Road Piranhas
Known as “Marvelous Mercy” in the soccer world, Mercy
joins Stars from the Women’s Nigerian National Team where
she played in three World Cups. Mercy represented her
country in two Olympic Games – Australia in 2000 and
Greece in 2004. She has played professionally in the USA
for the San Diego Spirit.
Coach Mercy is the head Coach for Stars
U16 Athena C Gold
Girls and works with Youth Development.

Coach Asmir is a native of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He
played on several youth academy and select teams
before moving to Germany. In Berlin he played
professionally for BFC Turkiyemsport who played in the
Regionalliga. He also played for Paul Lobe College in
Germany. Coach Asmir holds a USSF "C" license and has
over 5 years of coaching experience.

A
Georgia native, Coach Kelly graduated from Georgia
Southern where she played upfront and as an attacking
mid-fielder. She was the 1997 Tournament MVP of
Southern Conference Division I Soccer. DePardo has
completed the USSF “D” license certification.

Janet Burke has recently
joined our staff and will be assuming a full-time
coaching schedule in the fall. She received her
training at Tophat Soccer Club, and went
onto receive a college scholarship to Florida State,
and was an All American. She has youth coaching
experience at GSA and Concord. Janet has a love for
the game and vibrant personality and will be an
asset to our Coaching team.

Omar Sise comes to Stars
with a B level license and has played nationally as
a junior player for France and Liberia. In Liberia
he ran his own Academy soccer program. Omar has
recently come to the Atlanta area and has been
working with our Pre-Academy and
Developmental programs during the Spring. We are
eager to have him as a part of the Stars Soccer Club
Coaching Team.
